This blog has been set up to raise awareness of the threat posed to some beautiful old tees in Tramore by a proposed housing development. The housing development, for thirty-five houses, is planned for a site behind the GAA club in Tramore. If it goes ahead, these trees, which are over 100 years old, will be destroyed, and the rooks who settle in the rookery there each year will be without a home.

This picture gives you a view of the trees from the racecourse. Towards the right-hand corner, you'll see trees that are slightly higher than the rest. These are the trees under threat from the development.
We’ll be outlining details of how to raise an objection in the coming days. Objections must be with Waterford Council by 28 August. In the meantime, if you have further enquiries about this campaign, you can contact derbhile.graham@gmail.com
